Great Machine especially if you need to save space

The machine does what its supposed to do and its conveniant to have a washer and dryer 2 in 1. To be able to wash and dry without having to take clothes out is helpful and the dryer will start immediately after it is done washing. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the lint catcher and drain hose has to be cleaned out every so often and it is located at the very bottom of the machine making it hard to drain out excess water with the little hose. Overall we are very happy with it

Lifters/baffles started disintegrating 2 years in. Theyre help in place by screws you can only access by removing and disassembling the drum. Not included in drum warranty. So annoying. I had to break apart remaining bits of lifters by hand clip the screws off close to the drum trim the replacement parts so it could slide over the stumps. Just make the part easily replaceable guys. Cmom.

I have no idea why would anyone spend this kind of money for this appliance. Well because you think you want to save on space and time. This thing takes 2:30 minutes to supposedly wash and dry your clothes. Thats only one load. Then it doesnt dry your clothes well. This not saving you any time nor money because now you got to go to a laundromat to dry your clothes. Or hang them up somewhere in your house. DO NOT BUY

I have limited movement for doing things after I bought this laundry was so much easier not to have to switch from washer to dryer. I do recommend the pedistal to go with it if you have the space. It has storage too The washer dryer is easy to operate too.

Nice and convenient but not great

We bought it 2 and a half years ago. Loved having a single load for wash and dryer. First problem: Doesnt dry well. For towels we needed to add drying time to the maximum 3 hours Manageable but not ideal. Second and current problem: Stopped drying at all with an error code. After 5 technician visits and changing all different parts still not fixed. At this point we expect insurance to get us the money to buy a new one and then we will go for separate washer/dryer option probably not with LG.

There website says it will save you 30 minutes from a normal washer dryer but thats not the case this unit takes at least 8 hours to just dry a normal size load of just every day clothes. There represents do everything in there power to not give you the refund or replacement when its still in warranty. I would highly not recommend this washer dryer combo. Just today I have been on hold with a represents for 2 hours and counting

It is full of smart features that help save on detergent and water. Efficiency at its best. Great for old homes where venting is either cumbersome or not possible. The steam/condensation mechanism does not need venting. Machine is quiet. Pro tip: Use water hammer arresters to reduce banging of the pipes one each for hot/cold.

Constant Headache

I am so sick of dealing with this thing. My laundry is never dry even if I put in a tiny load. I follow all the instructions take out the laundry and shake it as soon as its done and its still damp. I constantly have things air drying all over my house. Not only is everything damp but its also insanely wrinkly. Every piece of laundry that comes out of this machine looks like its been twisted and balled up and thrown under someones bed for a month. Definitely not like it was just laundered. It also doesnt smell like it was just laundered. Even when Ive just cleaned the machine even with the different kinds of detergents Ive tried... my laundry always smells musty. Its gross. Its also just designed very very poorly. The lint ends up stuck in this tiny removable catcher in the bottom corner. The problem is whenever you remove the catcher water spills out EVERYWHERE. Theres a tiny little hose next to the catcher that youre supposed to use to drain the machine before removing the lint. NOT CONVENIENT. You have to hold the tube at a very specific angle to get any water to come out and it takes FOREVER and it never drains all the water so when you pull out the catcher your laundry room becomes a lake anyway. And now our hose is blocked not surprising because its TINY and no water comes out of it at all. We also had to replace the pump after just a year and a half which required us to buy not only the pump itself but special tools to install it. Obviously the internal pieces are low-quality too if they fail after that amount of time. And just to add insult to injury it takes about 6 hours to do a load of laundry. What a ridiculous product. I feel like such a sucker for buying this thing. We really wanted to like it and gave it almost 3 years. Im so excited to finally give up and get something else.

THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD*

Weve had this combo machine for about 90 days now and I am still learning how best to utilize its features but I can vouch for its hassle-free wash-to-dry features *PROVIDING you actually read the applicable directions before you start which I didnt so take it from me save yourself some easily avoidable headaches. Theres nothing better than throwing in the clothes in the morning and opening it upon returning home to find everything laundered and dried and ready to fold. Its also perfect if you dont want your laundry room dominated by your washer dryer. Caveat: If youre a busy family this machine may not be the best choice for you because the cycles take more time than a traditional washer dryer and you cant easily combine multiple fabrics of different weights. BUT . . . I love that it doesnt spew lint and dryer exhaust into the environment that I can easily do a wash only or dry only cycle when I wish and that so little maintenance and detergent are necessary to produce soft clean clothing. I gave my review 4 stars because even when I was doing the reading I should have done to begin finding answers to my questions was like searching for the holy grail. For instance what is the difference between turbo-dry and normal dry if I want a low-temperature drying experience outside the normal permanent press cycle which is better? Youd think that would be in the manual but it doesnt appear there. And when using the LG app this combo isnt listed sending me online to find that I should categorize it under washers. And even though I am this machines biggest cheerleader why isnt there a decent quick start guide? Ill write one for free just to save the next consumer some time and headaches. Seriously. LG call me. In closing Ill check back in when weve had this for six months and let you know what we think but so far so good with benefits definitely outweighing issues. TIPS: Dont overload 1/2 full to 2/3 full depending on type of load Dont mix fabric weight/types -- do like your mom used to so no towels mixed with workout gear for example although I do put cotton briefs and white cotton socks in with towels- it works fine and dont mix darks with lights the darks will be covered in white lint trust me on this. Finally DO NOT ignore the need to clean the filter. I rarely ever did this on my regular LG washer and there was never anything in it when I did but I have a once per month schedule on this one because that is where all the lint ends up and it WILL prevent your machine from draining. Found this out when I washed a load of brand-new towels that threw off tons of lint and Id never emptied it before.

The only reason I decided to look into the all in one appliance was due to space. I had my doubts. Well I am happy to say I love this. If you have a large family this may not be your pick but for a few it works great. Love the wifi so you can control it while you are away. The clothes feel very clean and look good when cycle is complete. It is safe to say your clothes will last longer. There are many cycles to choose from.

This is the second one of these I have had the other one was about 10 years old and the pump and heating element failed. I would not expect more than 10 years on these guys. That being said this new version is much quieter. I was used to the long dry time so it did not affect me like other people.

I have had this for over a year and have had techs come out. I am told it only dries half a load and even at that its still comes out damp. I only had it 6 months before thing started going bad . I would not recommend this to my worst enemy

Bought this unit 1 1/2 years ago. It stopped draining. Called LG and was told that the warranty was out. They said it sounded like it was the pump. I replaced the pump and still not draining correctly. Not impressed with this washer.

Worst LG Machine I have ever purchased

This unit isnt worth the time or money. The machine cannot handle having any dog hair in it or the small filer before the pump will clog. You cannot run a small load in the washer because it cannot balance. As well as clothes sometimes come out so wrinkled that you have to run them again or just live in crumpled clothes. To clear the clog in the filter you also have to dump about a gallon of water on the floor just to open the access area. The small attached hose does not work well enough to prevent this. Our last LG machines were so amazing and then we got this.

Weve owned the washer for a couple of weeks so far and really do like it. We are a family of 8 and previously owned a similar model years ago so we knew how this type of machine worked. Our goal was to have it on the second floor for ease of use. We do have a regular set in the basement but are tired of the stairs. We wanted a set it and forget it deal and it is working out that way. The teenagers know how to operate it and like not trekking to the basement as well. We dont use many different cycles and that is fine. It takes hours to complete cycles but we knew that. We set it for morning or to run overnight. It dries beautifully. What I dont like still is having to clean the lint from the rubber rim after each load. I wish there was a tool or better technique to wipe and get it all with fewer strokes. We also have not needed to clean the lint trap as of yet but I believe it recommend monthly. This time we dont have Saint Bernards in the home so we expect less dog hair clogging things. Overall it is great and I would highly recommend. The model were have is huge and can wash dry a lot. Doing more frequent less humongous loads allows sir faster drying time otherwise expect an overnight load or while at work load. Change your mindset and this thing can work wonders for those that want ease and laundry that is scheduled.

Ive had my new all in one for a few weeks now and Im getting more used to using it with every load. I didnt trust that you could load all your products i.e. bleach softener and soap at the beginning and then set it and forget about it. I had space issues so this is the perfect solution. The only feature I miss is being able to set the drying temperature this unit has preset temps and it doesnt tell you what they are turbo normal and timed. I assume timed is just that but at what temperature.

Makes life harder

Weve had this for three months and wish we hadnt bought it. We thought it would simplify life and it has only added more stress. Loads take forever Im lucky if I can get two loads done in an entire day. The wrinkles are a nightmare I rarely ironed before buying this and now I have to iron multiple times a week. Weve tried different settings wrinkle guard fabric softener taking clothes out as soon as they finish and running smaller loads. Nothing seems to help. So now my life and schedule revolve around the machine that was supposed to make it easier. We tried to work with the store we bought from to exchange for something else even if it meant taking a loss financially. They didnt return our calls. Im so disappointed and discouraged. It will be years with this thing before we can replace it.

Still learning to trust it because you load all the clothes load the cleaning products soap softener bleach and push the start of course after choosing your settings and it lets you know when its done. Still trying to figure some things out but loving it so far.

Good product in spite of LG

I had an older full size combo WD for 13yrs prior to getting this new one. I loved the older model more than the newer one as it had a low heat drying option that was great for not shrinking sensitive clothes. The new one uses less water and still cleans clothes well so that is better at least until it had a problem about 11 months after getting it going and LG is making it frustratingly difficult just to get a tech out to fix it. It has been 3 weeks and nobody has been scheduled yet. When I describe the problem as it is leaking gushes of hot steam out of the machine when drying clothes the customer service people send me links that describe the machines steam function in laundering clothes as a possible fix to the leak For anybody not familiar with the machine it works great when it is working. It takes up to 45 minutes to complete a full load wash cycle and 3hrs for a full load of clothes to dry and 3-1/2hrs for a full load of towels to dry. So it is a long time but by using 110V for the dryer it saves on energy overall and plugs into a normal outlet. Plus the dryer is ventless and it condenses the moisture into the drain line so your house can be tighter with one less vent to the outside also saving on heating and cooling maybe not a ton but every little bit helps These long wait times are actually a blessing in my book because you link the wash and dry cycle together so it seamlessly begins drying right when the wash cycle is completed. Now if I forget the laundry it is dry and wrinkled as the worst case scenario instead of wet mildew smelling clothes

My laundry room is outside of my house with my old machines I used to have to go outside switch clothes from washer to dryer go back check clothes in dryer to see if theyre done restart if they were not. Now its set it and forget it. Alexa tells me when my load of laundry is done. I can even set it to delay until early morning and wake up to a fresh load of laundry.

Broken after 25 washes

We purchased this new all in one LG washer/dryer after having and liking our old one same all in one for 15+ years. Our old one had low temp drying options. VERY IMPORTANT TO US We were just told we cannot download any dryer programs at all. Only high heat drying turbo regular or timed. Whaaaaaat???? Can download many many many wash options and already has lots of wash options included. Sooooo very very very disappointed. How can you not have dryer programs options on your fancy new machine when the old one had everything included??????

Terrible machine

I have a house with a strangely tiny laundry room so I had to shop around to find a unit small enough to fit. This is a condenser dryer that gets very hot. I would have preferred a vented dryer but this was the unit I chose. I like the Wi-Fi connectivity. I think this was a good choice for my laundry room.

I like that I can do laundry while Im at work or sleeping. If you do multiple loads this might not be the machine for you as it takes about 3 1/2 hours from start till done with dryer. I also noted that it does add humidity to the air when drying.

DRYER COMPONENT DOES NOT LIKE TO DRY

Washer/dryer combo worked great for 7 months. Then after washing load setting to dry as usual dryer did not come on but washer came on again. One troubleshoot on web site then three visits from repair service in Tucson and no one can repair it. Not enough electronic knowledge. Said drain problem or leak problem or nothing wrong. But no one stayed to see if it worked. I am now waiting 5 days to see if a repair man will come. If not they will find another service. Meanwhile I hang my clothes to dry on a drying apparatus in my bedroom. Some sort of Presidential Liason was contacted. But why do I have to wait for the same guys to come who already came and cant fix it. Set to dry machine washes all over again. I have 4 LG appliances

Shakes VIOLENTLY during Spin cycle

I was without a washer/dryer in my tiny new home. Was originally going to purchase a stackable combo but the salesperson at Home Depot showed me this model. I have to say I was intrigued and super hopeful it would live up to the hype. I had seen a couple reviews that mentioned shaking so I bought anti-vibration pads to place under the legs. Did not help at all I can only use this machine when I am home and able to abort a cycle which is a bummer because I was looking forward to the starting a load at night and waking up to clean dry laundry. Anything set on top of the machine ends up getting thrown to the floor Besides that issue I have had a couple of occasions where it is impossible to open the door to remove laundry - even after the machine signals the load is complete Anyone else have these issues and get them resolved?

I love the idea of having a combo unit. It saves on space in my home. Its very quiet and efficient. My only issue is that I had to go online to YouTube in order to figure out how to use the machine There were NO instructions included on how to use the dryer portion of the unit The booklet only contained washing instructions How can this be?

Perfect-except for the seal being grumpy

This is a giant combo I LOVE it It does require you to make sure between every load you clean the hair or debris around the seal or it will leak. I would purchase this again and again so far. I never dry my clothes all the way so it only takes 30 min to wash then about 1 to 1 1/2 to dry. Still a lil damp but thats how I like them to air dry the rest of the way. If you have ever used a combo you will agree this one is great

Dampened clothes takes too long

This is a ventless washer/dryer therefore it takes forever for a normal cycle including drying. The clothes come out wrinkly and if u happen to forget about the load and didnt setup drying cycle the clothes will get stinky. Even when the weather is mild itll get stinky. Not efficient at all. If you arent aware didnt read the directions or at least watched some videos on YouTube that the washer must be drained once you finished using it for the week the whole small laundry room will smell bad. Yes this is a washer for small spaces that dont have the luxury of a ven on the wall for a dryer. As I write this theres a normal load that is supposed to take almost 8 hours And the washer is loud This item however has its pros. It has a fast cycle that only takes 15 minutes. I like that.

So much better than ladt machine

I bought this a month ago to replace a Kenmore Elite all in 1 combo unit. This 1 is so much better the clothes come out dry and smelling fresh. No wrinkles if you use the stay fresh option that tumbles the clothes for hours after wash is dry. I was worried after my last experience with the Kenmore but so far everything is great.
