Per LGs guidelines Im not allowed to comment on customer service but just be aware the bottom of the microwave gets extremely hot over 200 degrees F when the light is used greater than 10 mins because LG decided to use a halogen bulb and they refuse to rectify the issue.

Overall good microwave purchased a couple of weeks ago. Only issue that we see is that the keypad is dark and not backlit which would be very helpful. Otherwise its great.

This is a great microwave for my son. He does not use it for much except for heating food. It was a little difficult to align the holes for anchoring it to the cabinet. But we did figure it out and all is good.

I bought the over the range microwave the end of July. Unfortunately it stopped working at the end of October. Enjoyed the features until they stopped.
Everything work except it would not heat food or liquids. Many calls for service finally resulted in repair in early December and eventual failure the day after repair. At this point after 2nd service call the unit is still not fixed. I am now waiting for parts.
Needless to say I am not very happy with the unit or the LG repair services. I have called Customer service numerous times. Each time I was promised service and then repair appointment was canceled because the service was over booked in the day of the appointment. Each time I had cleared my schedule from 8 am until 5 pm for naught. This is unacceptable.
I believe I deserve some kind of renumeration for my experience. $500 would be nice

Nice microwave.

LG is the worse when it comes to customer service. You NEVER get to talk to an actual person. I have had to put in a service request twice already after having my microwave installed in May for the same thing. Each time I have had to wait at least a week for a service date and then the DAY OF the technician calls and says he was over booked and needed to reschedule...BOTH TIMES And both times the service calendar was out 2 WEEKS I WILL NEVER BUY LG AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE Once I actually get someone out here I will be getting my money back and buying a different brand. Someone with a customer service department where you actually get to talk to someone and someone shows up on the original service day.

This microwave works great. Food is hot and heat is well distributed. I like that the magnetron has a 20 year warranty. Our last one quit after 2 years with only a 1 year warranty.

If I could afford to do so I would tear this out and find another brand model Why you ask? Because when I went to my local dealer I asked for TWO things: 1 that it be in that dark grey/black color which it is and 2 that it have a MUTE feature. I was given the specs as to size and color etc and had to wait weeks for it to come into stock. They didnt have this model on the floor so I could see how it worked. I paid for it and finally it was delivered and installed. I finally could use it. Guess what? It has the most annoying TUNE when you use it and when the food is cooked no matter the time it plays this obnoxious tune and it keeps playing it again and again until you come to take the food out or you push the stop feature I called customer support only to find out there is NO WAY to turn this feature off I cant afford to have it removed and buy a different brand I am being driven insane by this odious musical tune. Is LG trying to drive away their customers?

Initially I loved this microwave but after 2 weeks the interior light stopped working. I contacted support and a few weeks later a tech came out and said he needed to order a part. He never came back. The interior light is an LED on a card so nothing I can fix myself.

The specs for this microwave are not correct. Its advertised as having a 1.8 cu ft capacity but its noticeably smaller than our previous 1.8 cu ft Frigidaire microwave. So I measured the internal dimensions which are 9.25x19.5x13.75. This equals 1.44 cu ft significantly less than the 1.8 cu ft it is supposed to be. Our old microwave was 1.76 cu ft when I measured and calculated it.
Weve only had the microwave for a few days and generally like it so far but were disappointed by the gross misrepresentation of its cooking capacity.

It heats well but not that quickly. I had it installed so that it exhausted on the outside. Not a very strong fan. The overhead light is extremely dim and really of little use when cooking

We will never buy a LG appliance again. Clearly they dont stand behind their product or the support they offer their customers through their own standard manufacturers warranty. We didnt purchase any extended protection plans but we were happy to learn that LG offers a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. Per LG parts and labor are part of that which we were very happy to learn. I made my first phone call to the LG customer support team on 10/6/2024. They scheduled a 3rd party repair company to come out and fix the unit on 10/10/2024. The tech was unable to make the repair but assured us he would let LG know so they could either get a replacement microwave or at least the parts he believed was needed to fix it. No one from LG ever reached back out. We called LG to follow up and was asked to call back Monday 10/21 which I did. They told me another tech would need to come out despite me telling them that the previous tech suggested we needed certain parts or a new unit. Despite that feedback they said the 3rd party repair company would reach out to schedule with us. That never happened either so I got on the LG website and wrote a letter which resulted in LG assigning a Presidential Liaison person who told me they would work this through to resolution. I was asked to provide proof of purchase and serial # of the unit which I did. I was told those things had been added to my file. Its now been a week and despite us reaching back out to this contact weve not heard back. My family has gone 4 full weeks with no microwave and no solution. This has been a very disappointing experience to say the least. Because of this experience we decided to buy a new microwave from a different manufacturer and we will not be buying LG products again.

A couple weeks ago this microwave stopped working.
LG and Home Depot where we purchased the product have not been supportive in helping us resolve the issue. We had to pay $75 for a private contractor to remove the unit and are still waiting to hear from LG for help resolving the issue.
