Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Practical user-friendly design.

Myfridge 2/6/2026

I am very impressed with the design of the refrigerator. The convenient door compartment design makes it easier to store odd shape items such as large juice and milk containers. Overall, there is more space in the fridge department. The freezer has a very practical feature, a light.

Good replacement for old unit

rajman 2/3/2026

bought couple of weeks ago to replace 20+ year old Whirlpool Fridge that was still running but groaning. This new unit does have more flexible shelves and compartments for better storage options. Will be pleased if this new unit lasts 20 years. USA product

It has been a nightmare .

Feeling insulted 10/1/2025

Yep it has been a nightmare ever since we purchased the refrigerator from grants appliance in Orland Park,il The ice maker had a chemical taste . The light in the freezer went out shortly after . We tried to get a replacement and the manager from Grants was no help and very disrespectful. I tried to contact whirlpool and never could get any response.so we have been struggling along using portable ice maker .

Great Fridge

emily7789 4/15/2025

I absolutely love the simplicity and sleekness of this fridge. With the fridge on bottom and freezer on top, there is a TON of storage for such a small fridge. The shelves are spaced nicely and easy to clean. I have been using it for about a month and have been absolutely loving it.

Love the versatility

Cas1 1/3/2025

My old fridge died and I had to get a new one. I don't have a water hook-up and the water here is really hard, so I didn't want the water/ice feature. This fridge does have an option for an ice maker to purchase/install separately. I love that I can adjust the shelves to accommodate everything I put in my fridge and I really appreciate the ability to adjust the shelves in the door too. I love that I can put a gallon of milk and a 2 liter on my door if I need to. The fridge keeps everything cold and easily adjusts to suit my needs. I also really love the black stainless steel. It looks fantastic in my kitchen and I'm very happy with my choice.

Poor American Workmanship

Chemicker 7/23/2024

This refrigerator was delivered about a week ago and hasn™€™t worked right since. The defrost cycle doesn™€™t work so frost keeps building up in the freezer. No service for another week. This one replaced another Whirlpool that worked for 23 years and was only replaced because I couldn™€™t buy a replacement thermostat. Also don™€™t like the dim blue light in the refrigerator section.

Good and Bad

Barb74 3/29/2024

Bought this refrigerator several months ago. Great capacity, love the lighting especially in freezer, and love the Black Stainless finish. A few negatives - The motor when running is very loud, hard to change shelves in door (snap in - possibly crack), Freezer door shelving - items fall out the bottom as either door isn't deep enough or crossbar isn't wide enough to hold in items.

Freezing food in fridge!!

Nancy 3/25/2024

I had Bought a whirlpool In July and it froze cans of soda in the bottom of the refrigerator And they could not fix it after putting in two compressors, and I just had a new refrigerator delivered last week and the soda was freezing in the box plus celery, and other items in the lower compartments are freezing. I don™€™t even know what to do anymore obviously I™€™m not giving it a good report.

Noisy fridge

Dave 3/8/2024

I bought the fridge 2 weeks ago. The shelving and controls are very convient. The reason for the rating of 2 is due to the noise. It is very loud when running. It appears to be caused by the compressor, not the fan. It is so loud that it is difficult to have a normal conversation while it is running. A certified repairman could not fix the problem.

Barb74 12/13/2023

It's beautiful -- love the black stainless steel - looks great with my other black appliances, although may have to upgrade them to the same finish. The refrigerator and freezer seem bigger, which is a plus - it's the same refrigerator I previously owned. Only negative is door shelving is hard to change. Must snap pieces in place and concerned they may crack.

Donnamc 7/17/2023

The only problems I™€™ve had is that I ordered online I didn™€™t realize how short and squatty this refrigerator is. There™€™s a lot of bending to get to the back of the refrigerator it™€™s very deep so the cubic footage is good. The other problems are the handles are loose. I think it™€™s because two of the screws were missing at delivery and I™€™m trying to get replacement screws now. Functionally, it™€™s great, freezer is very roomy.

I am very happy with my new refrigerator. There are only a couple things that I've noticed that I'm not quite pleased with though. The shelves in the freezer door have this big gap where things fall through it making it hard to put anything small on them. I've also noticed that the door to the fridge has a noise every time it is opened.

So far so good

Chuck 1/29/2022

We've had it for just over 6 months and its been real good so far. We didn't want an ice maker or water dispenser and ours doesn't have either so that's good. I'm still figuring out how to clean the coils - they didn't seem to be too dirty in the front. I'll check the back later I guess to see if there's anything back there. Maybe not. Not too sure I cleaned everything out there but there wasn't too much there really even though we have cats that shed. Its real quiet especially compared to the last fridge which was a 30 year old GE. I had a bit of trouble putting the grille back on the front after I cleaned the coils but when I opened the door I was able to do it a lot easier though I had to use a screwdriver to kinda bend down the brass clip at the top while I put it on.

Fridge....

Cobengra 5/6/2021

I bought this fridge back in OCTOBER......and did not receive it until MARCH!!!! It took 3 delivery attempts...1st time, as the delivery men unpackaged the original shipping state, there was a LARGE DENT on the door!!! They took it back, brought a 2nd fridge...only to discover a LARGE VERY NOTICEABLE SCRATCH on the freezer door. So, again, they took it back. It was then when the delivery man had the idea to take the undamaged freezer door off of the one fridge and switch it to the other fridge. Otherwise, I would have been out of luck for my matching fridge, as that model is now discontinued. Also, the owner of the business was only willing to knock $90 off the first damaged fridge...I was very insulted with that as I not only had waited 5months to receive it, but I also spent over $4000, which I had to pay upfront, on a complete kitchen set!!!!!!!! Overall, the fridge is not bad. It does make a lot of squeezing and buzzing noises... The overall look of the fridge is good.

Satyrman 1/28/2021

Somebody turned the unit upside down then flipped it back up and plugged in immediately destroying it beyond repair. Still waiting on my replacement and it™€™s already been over a week with not a word on when I might actually get a new one. Seems to me that nobody really cares that I™€™ve had this thing for two months and cannot use it. Very disappointed in Whirlpool.
