I am giving this stove a 3 star because should not have to wait 3 months for a stove because there was no down draft kit available. If you sell it everything should be in stock and readily available. I like my stove other than it only came in stainless steel which is hard to clean and looking new. I haven™€™t used all the features yet but winter times just around the corner. I do definitely love that top oven rack, easy and smooth, perfect for pulling out your food when baking/checking on your food.

The convection oven works well. It does take a long time for it stop after we are done with the oven, hours. We only use the downdraft and we have to remember to use it each time we are using the stove top. Evenness is good even with using the fan. No moisture although we have to wipe down the stainless top from splattering. Seems like there is a lot more splattering than our previous range. We love a gas stove so the responsiveness is great.

I™€™ve had this KitchenAid stove for about four years, and it simply hasn't lived up to the brand's reputation. After less than a year of replacing a JennAir that lasted 20+ years, I was excited to buy an KitchenAid product expected a high-performing appliance. Instead, I™€™ve dealt with gas burners and an oven that refuse to stay regulated, even after several professional repair attempts. The uneven heating makes baking nearly impossible. The physical durability is also lacking. The trim around the knobs is flaking, the knobs need to be replaced, the vent filter has disintegrated, and the cost of replacement parts is astronomical. It is frustrating to pay for a high-end product only to receive performance comparable to lower-tier brands. I feel I haven't received the value I paid for, and the experience has taken the pleasure out of cooking.

Seems cheaply made. Stainless finish does not clean up well and also burner trays. Very disappointed as we've had Kitchenaid appliances in our last home that were of much higher quality. I bought this KitchenAid Dual Fuel Downdraft Range three months ago. I always like the cooking range to be gas and the oven electric. The downdraft works great and I like the design on how it the detach from the range when you need to slide the range out. I love the roll out oven rack and the large glass door on the oven. I love the gas burners and the control knobs. I am very disappointed in the electric oven by not having the simple knob, just buttons and no instruction on how to turn the oven on. The operating instruction to go the internet. The other thing I don't like about the oven it takes 25 minutes for the oven to heat up which seem like forever. My old oven only takes less than 10 minutes to heat to 450. I also notice the cooking time on the oven and the convection is very little difference. I do not recommend the electric oven in this brand go with the gas with the simple control knob.

I purchased this to replace a Jennaire range that was not fixable anymore. I should have spent the $2500 to have a hood put in and then purchased an actual range that works. For the extra costs to have it installed it simply is not worth it. I have a 30 inch Tappen, 30+ year old electric range that outperforms this one in every aspect. Whatever you do, not purchase this product. Complete waste of $5K. It is special order only, so when you get it your stuck with it and will regret it. I would have gave 0 stars but that option not available.

The range is ok but subsequent transaction sours us on the company. Ordered a trim kit designed for this range but it was wrong size. Got approval from Kitchenaid to return item and they received it back about 2 months ago. Have not yet received a refund. Have had 2 "chat" discussion with KA and both promised refund would be credited to Visa within a few days, but nothing. Have disputed transaction via Visa dispute process.

Dangerous design

We bought this oven sight unseen (the store didnt have it in stock) in March of 24. I have 4 or 5 issues with this poor style but last weekend we had a dangerous incident. A kitchen butter knife somehow went down the openings in the back of the oven, hit OPEN oven elements .It actually welded the knife to the inside of the panel . Thank goodness we dont have a leak in the propane just an inch away or what would have happened. Called Kitchen Aid and they offered us service we have to pay for. We were not looking for service, my husband already had it apart to see what happened , we wanted to let them know how dangerous this design is. Talk to deaf ears.. Think twice before punching this oven. You cant clean the top without all sorts of functions coming on. This oven is the worst design.

I replaced on older Jenn Air downdraft range with this model. Installation was a breeze and it looks great. I did order the trim kit made for the range in order to give it a custom look without any gaps between the stove and counter. The stove arrived with defects in the oven surface but those were replaced by the seller. If they hadn™€™t been replaceable, they would have had to send a new stove.

Have you ever wanted to wait 45 minutes for an oven to heat up? Well look no further this is the oven for you! If you just need a casual 350? At least 20+ minutes. You probably aren™€™t even hungry anymore. Does it work? Yes. But at what cost? Also why do only some of the stove knobs have a M setting? I™€™m not sure, but I wouldn™€™t mind it if they all did but I digress. Anyway- wouldn™€™t recommend but I had to have a downdraft range and this one was the only one I could available.

Purchased at the end of October, not installed until recently. Beautiful appliance! Quality with nice features. Love the slide out shelf and the two bright oven lights amongst other things. We needed to add an additional part due to no venting available. Works really well but the part we received had a defect on it that needs to be corrected/replaced. Hard to find someone to help with this. That would be the only downside. This part added an extra $300+ to the oven.

We are very happy with this range. some background and feedback: This range replaced my 18 year old Jenn-Air duel fuel range. The features, including the built in down draft, was the main reason for purchasing this KitchenAid range, as the industry is very limited in options with this feature built-in. Haven't had to clean the oven yet, but the process seems to be require more effort by the owner vs the oven being self-cleaning utilizing very high temperatures. A couple other items to point out. !) the user manual is only available on-line. Not customer friendly if access to the web or printing capabilities is not available. 2) slide-in dimensions met the same criteria as the prior range being replaced, however the resulting small gaps between the range and countertop, which was inevitable, the range cost did not include the gap fillers. These are being purchased separately. . I really hope that this range performs and lasts close to the Jenn-Air it replaced (18 years). Overall happy with this range!

We have had this a month ago. While I feel that it is well built, like the cast iron grates and oven racks, it's not amazing. When the down draft is on, the flame pulls to the side where it is sucking, which makes the cooking uneven, and even has made the flame go out (dangerous!!) The oven also takes forever to heat up, and it has no special features like our old GE -thermometer built in to plug into the meat, no air fry option, etc. It serves it's purpose for what we need, but I would not buy it if we didn't need the down draft.

It took 2 weeks to try to burn off the smell in the oven before I could use it. After 2 weeks, it still smelled but was tolerable and because I really need an oven. Also, when I use the oven and turn it off; the fan runs for 2 hours! Not energy efficient. It's very difficult to make it look clean and without streaks. The stove layout is not friendly; there should be one smaller burner in the front and one larger in the back instead of 2 large in the front and 2 small in the back.

New construction, island location, not sure why the designers would use radius corners on the rear top of the unit, these creates and open gap on both sides, there's also no depth dimensions available for the unit on the website or does custom service have any.The trim kit has 90° corners so this doesn't help.

The contractor has been working to get someone from the manufacturer service representative to come out and take a look. So far we have had no luck with any one showing up to address the situation. The non-stick griddle finish does hold up well. It should for the price. We are on our third. The "rubber" duct transition piece was apparently not well tested. Mine has disintegrated and you cannot just get a replacement, you have to buy a whole kit.

Replaced a Jenn Aire for 35 years.This new Kitchen Aid has nice new features. Besides the multiple oven cooking options, the temperature stays exactly on what is selected.

Only Option for Down Draft Range

This is a beautiful range but unfortunately there were only 2 options, and only one from KitchenAid. The people who delivered it had no idea how to install it, so we had to do that on our own, and even though our gas line and vent were in "standard" locations, we had to move both to install this range. This took hours of time and a lot of extra money. Now that is is installed, it does run well and is pretty, but the Digital screen is crooked and not able to be adjusted, and the timer button frequently adjusts the temp and requires the temp to be cancelled and reset to fix it back. I would think at this price range, those things woukd not be an issue. Hopefully this will last, because there are no other options to replace it.

I don™€™t know if I should blame Kitchenaid or the dealer for the missing part, but I have had my range for over a month and cannot use the oven due to a missing converter for the downdraft.

The only challenge with my stove is that the gas burners do not adjust to a low setting. I wish there were a way to set them on extremely low for those occasions I need a low simmer.

The only major issue since I installed this myself. The exhaust fan has very little clearance between the bottom of the oven and the base of the fan. It also not much room between the supports of the stove. In order for me to install the stove I had to lift the back side of the oven over the fan and have someone else to make sure the flexible gas line not get a kink and pushed it under the stove. Not easy trying to place the fan base with the exhaust duct between the floor joist.

Average for the cost

Slow for both the oven and stovetop to heat up compared to my 15 year old Bosch. Not overly impressed. It looks nice but the speed and efficiency is an issue. The fan is incredibly noisy. No air fryer which most competitors have. I wouldn™€™t buy again

We replaced a 15 year old Jennair and are very pleased with our purchase. We have been using it for about a month and we do a lot of cooking. All burners on the gas range light immediately and adjust flawlessly. We have used all of the baking functions on the oven with perfect results. The "proof" function is a huge win! Haven't yet tried the broiler. We are very happy and look forward to cooking through the 2025 holidays!

My wife and I purchased the dual range from Best Buy in February 2025 and unfortunately it wasn™€™t delivered until July 2025. Yet once it was installed we have enjoyed the range and its capabilities. I would recommend this range to anyone who is looking for a new range.
