I love this stove have bought several of them. Last long could be better. A bit hard to clean around burners, bought this material to cut out and place down helps a lot. White easy to see while cleaning.

No owners manual/user manual, how cheap can u be,
Oven temp completely out of line with reality. Had to buy a second portable oven temperature gauge to verify it wasn™™t my gauge but it is GE™™s gauge not accurate at all. So far off I can™™t even adjust with the 2 screws on the oven dial. Very disappointed. Only reason we bought a new range is because our old oven, many years old, was the same way!!

Burner grills are dangerously slick. Surprised GE hasn't been sued after someone is scalded or worse.
Oven dial numbers are too big, making precise settings impossible without using an oven thermometer.

I just had installed yesterday. So far, so good. I love that the stove top is sealed so no food can fall under the burners. It was the least expensive model, and came with the conversation to propane kitchen. That made me super happy. The guys who installed were very professional, nice and fast. Only 2 things I am not happy about. 1st, the bottom shelf in the oven is slightly bent in the back. It's right on the weld seam, otherwise I would bend it back, but I'm afraid it might break. Did not notice until the guys who installed had already gone. It's not that bad, so not worth contacting the company. The other thing, us the broiler drawer just has a rack, not a broiler pan.

The Appliance had a terrible smell of gas™¦ gas was leaking in the back. The Connector in the back was not repairable after an attempt to be repaired by the technician named Jesus on November 10, 2025. The yellow cable was redtagged. The whole appliance was redtagged on November 10, 2025 by SoCalGas representative who came out for a service check: appliance was leaking gas in two places and additionally initially incorrect installation by Waadt Appliances was determined. The conversion kit statements were written by someone who cannot even spell, let alone guarantee quality of product or instruct how to convert gas from natural to propane. Very disappointing event in re: quality of GE Appliances™™ Appliance product.

I love that the burner tops removed individually but kettles slide around on them quite easily. It's a two handed job to stir something. My previous model had grates all across the top. There were 3, they were heavier and more of a problem to take off to clean. It would be nice if there were a good blend of the burnercover size and ease of cleanliness. Other than that, it works fine. Having to turn the controls all the way on to light them is different also. Haven't figured out if I like that or not. At first I thought it would be good if the gas didn't come out until you turn them all the way but have found out the gas does turn on so if they get turned at all, it will smell. Otherwise the oven, size, and configuration of the burners and knobs is adequate for a gas range. Having had it for less than a month, it's hard to tell exactly how to rate it at this time.

My GE range was delivered about six weeks ago. My previous oven was ancient. The burners on the new range took some getting used to, but the variable sizes are convenient. I'd read others' concerns about the burner grates being slippery, and that's absolutely true. The burner and oven controls are a good size. The oven burned off the initial smell, about which the installer forewarned me, and then worked fine. The temperature was accurate.

This range is really very good. The burners light up instantly when the igniters click. The burner grates are heavy gauge steel. The placement of the burners allows for different size pots. The range top is easy to keep clean, there are no openings where food/liquid can fall through. The oven is easy to use, the sets the right temperature. This range is the right size for an apartment. The knobs are easy to turn and are spaced evenly across the front of the range.

Just purchased this unit to replace the same model unit we have had for 10+ years. Upon first use I noticed the front left burner is much smaller flame than all the others and takes longer to boil water or saute foods... I have been on the phone and website looking for tech support as I know it is an easy fix, but continually get disconnected when being transferred. Very frustrating

Haier Smart Home Company is smart company but the slippery stove top grates are mucho problemo. Yes, GE, we know you rigorously test your products to meet the highest standards and all that. but, after reading the manual cover to cover, an carefully leveling my new JGBS10DEMWW, the first dish i whipped up, in a lightweight wok, was slip-sliding all over that grate, with one hand on the wok handle an other on the splatter screen overhead and my third hand on the spatula to stir my stir fry i managed to keep my lunch from hitting the floor. i'm going to do some jury rigging and find a way to give at least one of the grates some traction. otherwise, overall, it's a great practical, utilitarian appliance. the fact that the GE "meatball" logo is placed so low, on the broiler drawer, gives an overall appearance that this is their bottom-tier, house brand model and that if you want a La Cornue ChÃteau range, you better be prepared to pay for it. ha ha.
