Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Very Smooth

Reidel55 2/16/2026

This oven is very good for the price of any quality standard smooth top oven out there. This oven is very easy to use and easy to maintain as in cleaning, programming and easy to use for any age. The best part is that it bakes well compared to other brands... the door seals well when baking and doesn't fog between glass window with steam so it doesn't haze or steam over. This oven came to me boxed up with all preventive measures to keep it from getting damaged from shipping. A+++++

Easy to clean stove top and oven

Jim D MKE 1/3/2026

The enclosed cook top is easy to clean but care needs to be taken not to scratch the surface. The oven has a self cleaning feature too. The stove door handle fit well enough to allow a nearby kitchen drawer to open and close which was a potential issue.

Okay, not thrilled.

Grammy T 8/1/2025

My old Kenmore range (25 years) finally had too many things wrong with it to repair, so I wanted to get the closest thing to it I could find. I thought the 30-inch Amana Electric was very similar in looks and features. After using the new stove for several weeks, I still miss my old range. This one takes much longer to preheat, doesn't seem to register as hot in the oven, and the timer is very difficult to use. You cannot easily add or subtract minutes once you have started it. Have to stop everything and start all over. Don't appreciate that oven temp and and oven timer share same controls. Not very flexible. Old stove had both oven timer and stovetop timer that you could use simultaneously. I dearly miss that feature. Oven is still nice and large and oven window is nice as well. I'm okay with a basic stove, but expected it to be a little easier to use than it is.

Missyma 7/3/2025

A dangerous flaw

Wendita 3/8/2025

I bought this electric stove less than a month ago. But there is a major production flaw in the stove. Under the stovetop lip, where the oven door opens, there is a piece of metal held in place by only 2 screws, causing the metal strip to bow. While cleaning, I sliced my finger on this bowed metal. In talking to the sales people at the place I purchased the stove, this has happened to people as they™€™ve looked at this stove in their showroom. Including a child! It needs to be corrected by you the manufacturer.

Good appliance!!

Blonde65 3/3/2025

Purchased this stove a month ago, aftermy 24 year old oven blew up!! Getting used to the black top, really shines, a little harder to keep looking like that. My old was a white top. The burners heat up very quickly. The oven seems to be very good. The burner configuration is different my old one, just taking time to get used to something new.

Basic stove

Mrszato 1/3/2025

It™€™s a basic stove. Nothing fancy. Stove top could have larger burners. No need for two very small ™€œmelt™€ burners. Two larger double burners in front for ease of use with smaller inner burner. Otherwise, it is a fine oven and range.

Like old stove a lot better

Duca 10/9/2024

I like Amana products but was surprised that the material for the frame of the stove was so flimsy. Not crazy about a black glass top either. It shows everything. I like the burner that can be a small or large, except if you use the small feature, the burner's outside edge of the large feature get bright red and very hot, so if you spill something it's a mess, plus it's hot on your hand. I had a hard time with the drawer too. That is a lot smaller than the old stove. I had to take my baking pans and store them somewhere else because it wasn't going to fit in there. My old stove also had three racks in the oven. I bake a lot so having to go back to two is a shock. I'll have to see if I can order some more racks. I also had to wait three months for this stove. Luckily, it was summertime, and I don't bake that much.

Solid product

heartland_purchaser 5/29/2024

The range works well. I like that the digital display tells me when one or more burners are turned on as well as when the stovetop is hot. Being able to use the larger burners as small burners is a nice feature. I'm not a fan of the solid black cooktop because it shows smudges easily. My previous cooktop was a mottled gray, which looked cleaner. (I have a white range with a black cooktop.) The range arrived with some black adhesive smeared on the edges of the cooktop. The installers cleaned most of it off, but not all. The company I purchased the range from has offered to order a replacement cooktop or give me discount.

I see that these reviews were given incentives...I have to purchase by this Sunday and want an honest opinion...is the top easy to keep clean and what do you use in Canada, what are the burner sizes as you can't really see on the black surface, I have a bad back and require a good self cleaning feature as well. Can't rate as haven't purchased yet. Therefore will post mid grade for now

Quality is lacking

Farming Fireman 10/13/2022

This stove has been nothing but repeats of trouble since we got it 2 years ago. Within the one year warranty the thing had a burner go out. The burner also wouldn't cool down correctly. Next, after the 1 year warranty was up, the thing started smoking and not heating correctly. Found the main terminal block where the power cord comes in, the FACTORY side wiring had a poor connection, overheated, and burned off one of the 240 volt legs at the wire terminal. And last night now, the FACTORY wire connection to the oven element burned off as well. I can only speculate that the quality control has slipped so far with Wirlpool over the years that these issues are all showing up with a stove this new. It would appear that one or both situations are occuring, the labor pool doesn't know how to properly crimp a wire connection, and or the specifications onthe wire and connections is so low of quality that they can't handle the load and start overheating from increased resistance in the circuit. Sad to see.

Fred1948 4/28/2021

The range seems fine, but why rate something that is only a couple months old? It would be far more meaningful to wait a couple of years to see how it's had some wear and tear and after we've lived with it for awhile. Thus, I have not way of rating it at moment.and have not way of recommending it yet.

We had and old Amana range similar in appearance from the 1990's. It was heavy-duty and performed well. We liked the drawer below for pot and pan storage. Well, it finally developed too many issues, so we decided to purchase another Amana. Well-built, with a storage drawer and with improved features, and made in America. We love it!
